Lydia was always the bright side of my days. I am sad that I never got to meet her in person but am grateful for the years of wonderful support through phone calls filled with laughter. My thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends.

I respected Lydia as much as anyone I ever worked with. I cared for her as a person and coworker. She was very good at her job and had passion for people. She would do anything for you and she did hold you accountable! I missed seeing her after I retired and I was very sad to hear the news of her passing. Lydia may God bless you and your family that you loved so much. The world is a lesser place now.

Lydia was a legend at Shell Pipeline. She was one of the most kind and talented people I have ever worked with. She made coming to work fun! She kept me out of trouble for my whole 33 year career at Shell, and that was hard to do. Whatever she did, she always exceeded expectations. She loved her grandkids so much, and always enjoyed showing me pictures of her granddaughters, and talking about her grandsons football games and championships.
Everyone knew Lydia was the boss.
We loved her at Shell Pipeline and will truly miss her.

I had the pleasure of working with Lydia for nine years at Pasadena. She was more than a coworker. She was my friend. Lydia could be tough when she needed to be, but she had a big heart to go along with her big smile. She was appreciated by the employees that she worked with for the support that she provided and for her willingness to help. I always teased that Lydia ran things at Colex and that the rest of us would be better off if we just did what she said. I know she cared deeply for her family, friends and coworkers. I’m sure they will miss her terribly. May God bless them during this difficult time and may we all receive comfort through memories of our time with Lydia.

I always referred to her as our work mom. She was tough but always cared. If I asked her something when she was busy she would say “can’t you see I’m busy but for you Josh I will stop what I’m doing and help you” while smiling. I will miss her walking by my office and giving a thumbs up and asking if I was good. Sweet lady who loved her family and work family.

I have known and worked with Lydia for years. It would take me too long to list the numerous reason why she was liked and respected by so many people. Lydia seemed to be everything to everyone and always commanded respect by simply being herself. I will miss her.
Nikki and I would like to offer our sincerest sympathies to the family. We pray that our Lord grant you love and peace during this difficult time.

Lydia, your journey in this life may have ended, but your story will continue in each of us, our girls were devastated when they heard the news, you have left behind a legacy of love, laughter, and kindness that will forever resonate in our lives. Aunt Lyd, Saying goodbye is so difficult, but I'm thankful you're released from the difficulties of this life. Every conversation, laugh, email, and text just became more meaningful to me. I'll miss not having you here so much, but I know the life lessons I've learned from you will keep me steady. I listened to one of our many songs today but could not finish it. In time, right? Not many people get to call their Aunt "best friend'. I am so glad you were mine and I was yours. I love you. (Glad I got to tell you everyday even though you did not like saying it,lol).

Lydia and I worked together at Shell Pipeline for 26 years we learned a lot, we did a lot, we had stressful times, we had sad times and good times. Working as a Admin you did more then work you kept the group on
Point which was not always easy. We don’t know how our story will end. But to her family I want you to know she was a strong leader and believed in following rules. She loved her job and cared about the folk she supported. She was also a kind compassionate person and full of fun. She loved her family dearly. Bye my work sister my friend. You will be missed by me.

Lydia was one of the hardest working employees at Shell. She was the rock that held everything together for so many people. She was really a teddy bear inside and was so great to work with. She talked about her sweet family and loved them. She will be truly missed by everyone that she worked with.
