Ardell Mock

October 1, 1942 – August 4, 2024

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Ardell Lillie Mock who was born October 1, 1942 and passed away on Sunday, August 4, 2024.  Born in Houston, Texas, Ardell was a selfless servant leader who retired from the University of Texas, Harris County Psychiatric Center.  She was the second of two children to the union of Lillie B. And George Ammon Lillie in Houston, Texas. 

Cherishing her memory are her children:  Demetria Darlene Mock Johnson and Kary Lowell Mock (Casondra). Six Grandchildren: Nori Simone Johnson, Morgan Brie Ingram, Brandon Mock, Lunden Paige Johnson, Kerrigan Juan Mock, and Chancellor Vandell Amon Thompson.  Five great-grandchildren: Zion Johnson, Cadence Ingram, Asher Mock, Payton Ingram,  and Carter Mock. Sisters:  Maria  Jackson and Octavia Thomas. 

She was a loving supportive wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, friend and loyal member of St. John’s United Methodist Church Family.
