Ja’Coby J. Jones
August 19, 1999 – February 11, 2019
“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.” (Psalm 23:1-6)
His journey began on August 19, 1999 in Houston, Texas to Ms. Folonda Jones and Mr. Keith Cotton in Houston, Texas. They lovingly named him Ja’Coby Ja’Marin Jones.
Ja’Coby confessed Christ at an early age. He became a member of Abide Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Benny Taylor in Houston, Texas.
Ja’Coby Ja’Marin Jones attended Madison High School. He was full of love, laughter and enjoyed playing basketball and spending time with family and friends.
Ja’Coby Ja’Marin Jones departed this life on February 11th, 2019.
He leaves to cherish in his memory; a loving mother, Folonda Sample (Shuvonda Brown); father, Keith Cotton; one brother, Quinton Jones; two sisters, Miesha Jones and Crystal Jones; one grandmother, Belzan Jones; a devoted uncle, Johnny Foster and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, family and friends.
Ja’Coby’s Journey Has Just Begun Don’t think of him as gone away his journey’s just begun, life holds so many facets this earth is only one. Just think of him as resting from the sorrows and the tears in a place of warmth and comfort where there are no days and years. Think how he must be wishing that we could know today how nothing but our sadness can really pass away. And think of him as living in the hearts of those he touched… for nothing loved is ever lost and he was loved so much.
