I know Dr Galloway from Pershing. I'm saddened to learn of her passing.
I just learned of Dr Galloway's passing. I remember her from Pershing and she told me and my classmates that they weren't supposed to be drinking sodas on the schools and one of my classmates told her that our driver let us do it.
Dr. G was an amazing lady. They forced her to go to Pershing during the time of integration. She stayed there for the rest of her life and made a huge impact on young people’s lives. I recently emailed her and thanked her for all that she did for me. I think that she liked me because I was a student and then I came back to teach next to her. Whatever the reason, she always looked out for me and gave me good advice. My life is better for having known her. My heart and my prayers go out to her family and friends.
May God bless this family in this time of sorrow. And allow God's promise at
1 Corinthians 15:26 to bring comfort to
the family and friends of this beautiful life. "And the last enemy, death, is to be brought to nothing"
May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.
My dear friend Irma, I truly will miss you!! Our friendship was truly a lasting friendship with lots of love shared.
