Jose Cintron

July 27, 1971 – November 15, 2024

Jose Antonio Cintron, was born on July 27th, 1971 in Brooklyn, New York to parents Irma and Jose Cintron. There, he met his beloved wife Melissa Morales and they were married for 30 years. Together they moved to Houston, Texas 22 years ago.

His highest level of education was a Bachelor’s in Education from Grand Canyon University. Jose found his love for teaching through watching his wife and he would always say how she had the “best job in the world!” After finishing his schooling, he began his 18 year career as an educator and administrator in various capacities at Energized for Excellence Academy, Inc.

He dedicated his life to teaching and the school community. He had tremendous rapport with his students, coworkers, and their families. He was known to never forget a face or name of anyone he taught. Although he enjoyed being an administrator, his true passion was being in the classroom. One of his most treasured accomplishments was being a 5th grade Science teacher. He had the opportunity to teach so many students during his 18 years, including his three children.

He was the most dedicated, resilient, and hardworking person. He put his whole heart into everything he did. The only thing bigger than his love for teaching was his love and loyalty to his family. He had an incredible sense of humor, and a smile that could light up a room. He will be deeply missed, and his memory will live on through those whose lives he touched.

Jose, aged 53, passed away on November 15th, 2024. He is survived by his wife, Melissa Morales-Cintron, his three children Jennifer Marie Cintron, Emanuel Jose Cintron, and Annalisa Cintron, his mother Irma Cintron, and his siblings Annie Sue and Robert Cintron. His father Jose D. Cintron joined him shortly after in heaven.
